Training Course

Training Course - Interpreting GPRS Billing Workshop

Master the skills to recognise and make use of a variety of leads and investigative opportunities that routinely appear in mobile data event records (MDE/GPRS) through an understanding of the theory and practice of analysing the data.

Mobile data event records (known generically as “GPRS” data) are increasingly important and when examined and interpreted with the appropriate care and attention to detail, this information type can be a surprisingly rich source of geographic data.

This course has been designed to provide an in-depth exploration of mobile data events (MDE) or general packet radio service (GPRS) call detail records (CDRs), how GPRS/MDE technology operates and how and where GPRS/MDE CDRs are captured. Current GPRS/MDE CDR disclosures and formats are examined in detail. Delegates will explore the meaning and relevance of GPRS CDR fields and undertake exercises that offer practical experience of the concepts and techniques required to correctly interpret this data type and in order to exploit investigative leads.

This course has been developed and is delivered by telecommunication experts and former Intelligence Analysts with practical experience of communications data and interrogating GPRS/MDE CDRs.
