Training Course - Courtroom Skills

Learn the fundamentals and gain the confidence to effectively present evidence in the courtroom through an exploration of the theory, processes and practice of presenting evidence.

The delivery of clear, concise, and confident witness testimony in the courtroom is vitally important in the effective presentation of evidence and ensuring witness credibility.

This course has been designed to improve courtroom confidence by providing a better understanding of the theory, process, and practice of delivering witness testimony with an emphasis on clear and concise presentation of evidence, and key insights into the tactics and techniques used by Defence Lawyers. Instruction is also given on pre-trial processes, courtroom layout, roles and responsibilities, order of play and preparation for court including statement writing. The theory is supported by a scenario based practical exercise, which includes the presentation of evidence under examination in chief and cross examination, following the practical exercise the trainer provides constructive feedback on each presentation.
