We’re thrilled to announce the release of CSAS V3.13.1, our latest update packed with new features and improvements to boost your investigative capabilities. We’ve also introduced a range of performance enhancements and have made improvements to the UI and UX to provide you with an even faster, slicker, and more efficient user experience. Read on for a comprehensive overview of one of our most significant updates yet.

Hybrid 1.0: More Flexibility Between Desktop and Server

Our all-new Hybrid mode allows you to move freely between server mode and desktop mode, enabling you to leverage desktop performance while on the move or in situations where connectivity is limited. This mode retains the benefits of CSAS server capabilities like cross-case searching and management, ensuring your investigations advance at pace.

Device Location: Exploit Location-Based Services

This update allows users in both the UK and North America to leverage location-based services provided by telecoms operators, such as Timing Advance and Ping Data. In the UK, this now includes handling location-based services from both EE and Vodafone, which can be visualised in Case Hub. These capabilities are invaluable for cases involving missing persons or major crimes, where identifying fast-track actions and key lines of enquiry is critical.

Correlation Query: More Powerful Analytics

Our new Correlation Query (CQ) tool offers powerful analytics to help you identify common elements across large datasets. It assists in analysing data from multiple locations to identify new lines of enquiry, rapidly eliminate or implicate persons of interest, and identify suspects more quickly.

Decoding of SMS Platform Numbers: Unlock New Information

This new feature within Attributions allows you to decode hexadecimal codes often found in CDRs, unlocking useful information and potential new lines of enquiry.

File Time Zones: Global Flexibility

Acknowledging our growing global user base, we’ve introduced a File Time Zone feature. You can now set the appropriate time zone for your case at the time of creation and adjust it later if needed. This is particularly useful for cross-jurisdictional cases or when working across time zones.

Additional Updates

Based on your feedback, we’re continually developing and refining our solutions. Further improvements you’ll find in CSAS V3.13.1 include multiple parsing enhancements, improvements to the file import process, and upgrades to the Case Hub, mapping, and analytics.

We are confident these updates will enhance your experience with CSAS and look forward to hearing your feedback on how these new features impact your investigations.
